What to confirm before arranging pet transportation
SFL Pet Visits · 2026-11-02 · General information only — not veterinary advice.
Confirm who is actually driving and whether the service is the driver or a broker handing your pet to someone else. Ask how pets are secured in the vehicle (crate, harness tether), whether other animals ride along, and how long your pet's total trip will be, including other stops.
For airport trips, confirm which terminal and meeting point, how flight delays are handled, and whether the service handles airline crate requirements or only the ground ride. For vet and groomer rides, confirm whether a human may ride along and who signs the pet in.
Get the full price in writing — base fare, mileage, waiting time, and tolls — plus the cancellation policy and what identification or paperwork they need from you (vet records are commonly requested for longer trips).
